The conference paper Investigation of the possibilities for development of a variable speed hydraulic turbine written by Zoran Markov, Filip Stojkovski and Marija Lazarevikj from UKIM and Igor Iliev from NTNU describes the benefits of developing a hydraulic generation unit with variable speed.
